Breakroom is in its Content Production Era

Breakroom Improv has been performing shows and leading workshops around Charlotte since 2023. For the most part, our social media presence has been mildly consistent - post-show photo dumps and short, snappy sketches promoting shows, etc.

Recently, we’ve decided to explore writing long-form content.

Our improv backgrounds and our long standing relationship as a team has been a vital part of the writing process. But, sketch and improv comedy are very different. Improv encourages you to listen and respond to each other in order to “find the funny.” Sketch kind of feels like you’re writing and planning the funny ahead of time. This still gives us room to play with the delivery and timing of the lines and the scenes.

It’ll be interesting to see how this progresses. Especially as the summer approaches.
